Who We Are

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to grow—physically, mentally, and emotionally.  Biking 4 Better was founded by U.S. Army veteran Curtis Johnson as a nonprofit initiative to serve communities across the country through motion, mindset, and meaningful connection.

The foundation is simple:
Set a goal. Create a plan. Take action.
This formula changed his life. Now, he’s using it to help change others’ lives.

Built for Impact. Powered by Purpose.

Our Story

What We Do

Through the Biking 4 Better initiative, we’re providing:  Bikes to promote health, mobility, and confidence, and Books that spark learning, leadership, and self-discovery.

Each item is distributed with intention, backed by community support and meaning moments that leave a lasting impact far beyond the finish line.

Cycling a lap around Amercia

Curtis and the B4B team have already cycled 5,500+ miles across 24+ states, completing tours along both the Northern and Southern Tiers of America. Next, they will ride 1,800 miles in 18 days down the Pacific Coast from Blaine, WA to San Diego, CA. Afterward, they'll tackle the East Coast as they continue the mission of empowering lives through bikes and books one mile at a time.
